WHAT IS OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD?

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.

WHAT GOES IN MY SHOEBOX?

Start with a quality "WOW" item such as a stuffed animal, soccer ball with pump, or clothing outfit that will capture the child's attention the instanthe or she opens the box.  To see a comprehiensive list of what to pack CLICK HERE.

If you picked up a shoebox from River Hills, bring it to church with you once you have finished packing it! The latest day we will be accepting boxes will be Sunday, November 13th. But don't worry if you are not able to join us that day, the Collection time will be happening all week long from November 14th - 21st.

Our goal is to fill 300 shoeboxes - 300 opportunities for children to learn about a God who made them and loves them. How many boxes will you fill?
